Helen Ruddle

Helen is our Director of HR with over 17 years of experience working in HR. Her passion is providing HR solutions that help people and organisations achieve their goals.

Helen joined the Trust in early 2013 as a HR Manager before progressing to the role of Director of HR in November 2016. Prior to this, Helen developed her career in HR within a variety of sectors including retail and distribution, transport and logistics and mining.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Science with honours degree in Psychology and has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

In previous roles, Helen has been both an assessor and internal verifier of NVQ programmes and enjoyed working with young people overcoming negative experiences with learning to achieve level 2 and level 3 qualifications. Helen is on the Safer Recruitment Consortium’s register of accredited Safer Recruitment Trainers and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider. 

Helen enjoys spending time with her family and has a keen interest in health and fitness. She enjoys running, kayaking, skiing, cycling and walking. Along with her partner, Matt, she has a curiosity about different countries and cultures and enjoys travelling. She chooses activity based holidays and has been fortunate to visit a range of countries around the world.   

Helen also enjoys mentoring up and coming HR professionals where she shares her knowledge and passion for HR.
