Jo Sercombe

Jo joined Delta in 2012 when it was known as SPTA. Prior to this, she completed a PGCE, following ten years of working in research and project management. Jo started her teaching career at Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School in 2012 as an NQT, going on to join the Senior Leadership Team as SENCo, in 2014. Jo then undertook a secondment to Highfields, as Assistant Principal in June 2017, becoming Head of Academy in September 2018.
Jo has strong expertise in positive behaviour management, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN - she has been awarded with the National Award for SEN Coordination.
When asked "Why Delta?" Jo said: Delta has provided me with so many opportunities and talent is held in high esteem and this is really important in developing and retaining staff. We work collaboratively and I always feel that I am able to go to other people for support, as well as feeling free to offer support to others. Ideas are welcome from anyone and I think this is important in developing a positive and successful culture. Our ethos of changing lives motivates me every day!
