Darton Academy

Darton Academy became part of the Delta Academies Trust on 1st October 2018. Previously to this, the Academy was part of BMBC. It is an 11-16 school with 1170 students on roll.

Darton Academy was placed into special measures in October 2017. The governing body were replaced by the AAB. Delta have supported the Academy since May 2018 with a new Executive Principal and a number of other key staff under a NLE agreement until conversion.

Attainment is broadly average overall. There is a greater proportion of students with SEND. The proportion eligible for the Pupil Premium is broadly in line with national.
